Washington D.C. – A “complete and total CEASEFIRE” between Israel and Iran was announced by President Donald Trump, however, the situation remains unclear with conflicting reports emerging from various sources. Trump’s statement, posted online, declared an agreement to end what he termed “The 12 Day War.”
The announcement stated that the ceasefire was scheduled to begin approximately six hours after the announcement, allowing both Israel and Iran to complete their “final mission(s).” This initial phase was planned for 12 hours, after which the status of the “War” would be re-evaluated.
Trump detailed a phased approach, with Israel initiating the ceasefire followed by Iran 12 hours later. He claimed this 24-hour mark would signify “an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR,” anticipating a “PEACEFUL and RESPECTFUL” resolution. Trump commended both nations for their “stamina, Courage, and Intelligence” in reaching this point.
However, Iran initially denied the existence of any such agreement. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on X (formerly Twitter) that “As of now, there is NO ‘agreement’ on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations.” Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi’s Tweet. Later, Araghchi hinted at a potential truce, stating that if Israel ceased its attacks by 4 AM Tehran time, Iran would halt its response.
