Google has rolled out a special offer for college students, giving them free access to Gemini AI Pro and 2TB of cloud storage for one year. The deal started on May 7, 2025, and is part of the Google One Student Offer. To get it, students need to verify their status with a valid student ID on the Google One website.

The offer includes powerful AI tools like Gemini 2.5 Pro and extra storage for Google Drive, Gmail, and Photos. After the free year, the subscription will cost Rs 1,950 per year unless canceled. Google says the plan also comes with benefits like ad-free YouTube and more features across their services.

To sign up, students should set up AutoPay with a payment method like PhonePe UPI, where a small fee of Rs 1 or Rs 2 is deducted to start the process. A helpful tip shared online suggests deleting the AutoPay mandate after signing up to avoid charges next year. However, some people have pointed out that using an old or a friend’s student ID might work, though this could go against Google’s rules and risk account issues.

The offer is only for new Google One users and excludes those with existing plans or certain other subscriptions. Google warns that after the free year, payments will automatically start unless users cancel in time. With the deal active now, students have a chance to enjoy these benefits, but they need to act fast and manage their settings to avoid future costs.
