Tata Electronics acquires 60% stake in Pegatron Technology

The Tata electronics has announced on Friday that he has acquired 60% is stake in Pentagon technology. It was the controlling stake in the technology Company.

While in the announcement Randhir Thakur, CEO & MD of Tata Electronics has also stated in the statement that

The acquisition of a majority stake in Pegatron Technology India fits into Tata Electronics’ strategy of growing our manufacturing footprint. We look forward to a new era of AI, digital, and technology- led manufacturing as we bring up these new facilities and expand our operations in India,

After the deal between two companies, Tata Electronics and Pegatron will integrate their teams, while the latter will undergo rebranding.

From this acquisition it is seen that the tata electronics want to become key players for iPhone manufacturing in the india.

“Pegatron India, a subsidiary of the Taiwanese company Pegatron Corporation, specialises in electronics manufacturing services for companies like Apple and exports its products to North America, Asia, and Europe”

Earlier, The tata electronics has acquired the Wistron’s India operations, which is a major supplier of Apple in india. After getting the approval from Competition Commission of India (CCI)
