On Monday, April 7, 2025, X user Bhargav Rajput, having username @Bhupidevv, shared a video of the incident, showing a few girls sitting in a room. The video clearly depicts one girl covering her face with her hands and crying, while a boy slaps her and hurls abusive language. Another girl sitting nearby also appears to have been slapped. The social media post states, “This is the incident from Bageshwar Kapkot, where minor girls are being locked in a room and beaten…! Are people’s daughters meant to be beaten like this? Such blatant hooliganism is happening openly. If something worse had occurred, who would have been responsible…!”

One user, Pawan Singh, asked for details about the full incident, to which Bhargav replied that some boys had taken these girls to a room and assaulted them. He clarified that it was a case of a dispute among children, but locking them in a room and resorting to such actions was wrong and raised concerns about law and order. Bageshwar Police arrested one person
