Stand-up comedian Swati Sachdeva finds herself embroiled in controversy once again. A joke from one of her YouTube episodes has sparked intense reactions on social media. In the episode, Swati shared a highly personal and objectionable joke involving her mother. She claimed that her mother found her vibrator and, in an attempt to act like a “cool mom,” started a conversation about it. Swati joked, “For a moment, I thought my mom was going to borrow my vibrator.” The video, uploaded eight days ago, has now gone viral, igniting widespread debate online.
People are sharing their reactions on social media. A user running the account “Voice of Hindus” on X posted the video, writing, “What happened on Samay Raina’s show wasn’t as vulgar as what Swati Sachdeva is saying. She proudly talks about lending her vibrator to her mother and justifies it as comedy. Every video of hers is filled with cheap antics. Decide for yourself where an FIR should be filed and where it shouldn’t!” Many users expressed their anger in response. One user commented, “This girl only talks about sex, bisexuality, and vibrators. Comedy has become an easy business nowadays—if you lack talent, just sell your dignity.” Another user called it a “double standard,” while some defended it as an “A-rated comedy show.”
Whatever happened on Samay Raina's show wasn’t as ugly as what Swati Sachdeva is saying, She proudly talks about lending her Vibrator to her own mother all in the name of comedy!
She is doing this cheap in every video, Where should FIRs actually be filed and where should they… pic.twitter.com/mn7tTiibM4

Swati’s joke comes at a time when YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina have recently faced backlash over similar controversies. Many have questioned whether Swati should also face legal action if Ranveer and Samay did for their jokes. One user wrote on X, “Now even parents aren’t spared in the name of comedy. After Ranveer and Samay, now Swati Sachdeva!”
Samay Raina’s Past Controversy: The ‘India’s Got Latent’
Earlier, in February 2025, YouTuber and comedian Samay Raina was caught in a major controversy. During his show India’s Got Latent, Ranveer Allahbadia made some objectionable remarks, leading to an FIR by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell. They were accused of promoting obscenity and vulgarity. At that time, Samay was on his stand-up tour in the U.S. and requested to record his statement via video conferencing, but the cyber cell rejected his request, ordering him to appear in person on February 18. However, Samay’s lawyer informed authorities that he wouldn’t be returning to India before March 17.
As the controversy escalated, Samay announced on social media that he had deleted all India’s Got Latent videos from his channel and was ready to cooperate with the investigation. This incident also reignited the debate on the boundaries of comedy. While many believed Samay and Ranveer’s remarks promoted vulgarity, others defended them under freedom of expression.
